BIOGRAPHY
Ali Al Kinoon is a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Central Florida. He earned his doctorate in computer science from UCF, where his research focused on Android security and privacy, particularly in the context of mobile app permissions, policy transparency and malware detection. His work integrates natural language processing and machine learning to enhance user awareness and strengthen app ecosystem security.
He has contributed to several research projects, including the development of large-scale Android datasets and frameworks for analyzing privacy policies. He is passionate about cybersecurity education and dedicated to equipping students with the skills to identify, analyze and mitigate security threats, preparing the next generation of cybersecurity professionals and researchers.
