National Cyber Analyst Challenge

Members of the UCF Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition Team met with Congressman John Mica at the US Capitol last Thursday morning. Team members also met with Congressman Alan Grayson before enjoying lunch at the National Republican Club in Washington, DC. The Congressmen congratulated the team for winning back-to-back National Championships in the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition and wished them luck in the upcoming season.

UCF’s team was visiting Washington to participate in the National Cyber Analyst Challenge sponsored by Lockheed Martin. The National Cyber Analyst Challenge was developed to enhance the skills of the future workforce and to inspire students to pursue careers in cyber security, with a focus on developing strategic skills involving analysis and threat identification. During the challenge, UCF’s team received an award of $7,500 to support student, faculty, and curriculum development.
