Dr. Mubarak Shah’s Computer Vision Research Presentations at Leading Brazilian Universities

During April, Dr. Mubarak Shah’s computer vision research was presented at two leading Brazilian academic / research universities. Presentations were made at the University of Sao Paulo (Universidade de Sao Paulo, USP) and the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (Instituto Tecnologico de Aeronautica, ITA.)

USP is a public university in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo. It is the largest Brazilian university and the country’s most prestigious educational institution. As the major institution of higher learning and research in Brazil, USP is responsible for educating a large part of Brazilian Masters and PHDs. USP’s main campus is in city of Sao Paulo (USP, http://www5.usp.br/en/ .)

ITA is an institution of higher education and advanced research with emphasis in aerospace science and technology maintained by the Brazilian Federal Government with the support of the Brazilian Air Force. ITA is located in Sao Jose dos Campos, Sao Paulo, Brazil. ITA is rated as one of the top and most prestigious engineering schools in Brazil. (ITA, http://www.ita.br/ .) Meetings were also conducted the Sao Paulo Research Foundation – FAPESP http://www.fapesp.br/en/ & IBM do Brasil.
