CECS Award for Excellence by a Graduate Teaching Assistant

January 25, 2021

Computer Science graduate student Brandy King has won the CECS Award for Excellence by a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Her name has also been sent to the university for the university-wide award.

Brandy’s teaching evaluations as a lab instructor are “off the charts,” according to Dr. Szumlanski, “not only does she have great intuition for how to clearly and engagingly present advanced technical content, but she is also incredibly encouraging. Her contributions have been invaluable in making students feel supported and motivated in these challenging CS courses where Brandy is a GTA.”
