BIOGRAPHY

Shaojie Zhang is a professor of computer science at the University of Central Florida. His research focuses on computational biology, bioinformatics, and algorithms, with applications in RNA biology, genomics, and molecular evolution.

He earned a doctorate in computer science from the University of California, San Diego. Zhang has developed computational tools for analyzing RNA structures and genomic data and has contributed to advancements in understanding non-coding RNAs and their roles in gene regulation.

He has served on program committees for various academic conferences and holds editorial positions in journals related to bioinformatics. His honors include university research and teaching awards, as well as recognition for outstanding publications in his field.
