Gerd Bruder is an associate professor at the UCF Department of Computer Science, advancing the frontiers of virtual and augmented Reality. He received his master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Münster and a habilitation from the University of Hamburg, conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Würzburg in Germany, and was a visiting researcher at INRIA Rennes in France.

Bruder’s research spans a wide spectrum of extended reality, including virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality (MR), with a particular focus on human factors, human-computer interaction, modeling and simulation, and digital twins.
