Expand upon your major in computer science or information technology with an undergraduate certificate in cyber operations. Learn about secure software development, malware analysis, computer architecture, communication networks and more. This program distinguishes students with special training in this area and can help you stand out in the competitive job market.

CURRICULUM AND PROGRAM ADMISSIONS
The Certificate in Cyber Operations requires 39 to 43 credit hours, including 30 to 34 hours of core courses and 9 credit hours of electives.
There are no additional requirements for admission into the program beyond admission to UCF.
Please note that this program is not open to students minoring in secure computing and networks (SCAN), but it is recommended for students majoring in computer science, information technology or computer engineering.

LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION
While licensure or certification may be available in this field of study, our program does not directly lead to such licensure or certification upon graduation. The professional preparation you receive in our program meets the educational requirements for licensure as a professional engineer and may still assist you in such pursuits; however, the licensing authority and requirements for professional engineers falls under the jurisdiction of the licensing board for the state, territory, or foreign entity in which engineer practices.
If you intend to pursue such credentialing in your state or elsewhere, we strongly advise you to contact the applicable state credentialing authority to familiarize yourself with its specific requirements.
