Non-profit Involvement

The iUX Academy & Non-Profits:

Spring 2017

The iUX Academy is excited to work with two local non-profit organizations: Shuck N Share and NerdBrander  in applying the user-centered design process to build websites for their organizations.

Shuck & Share

Shuck & Share

Shuck&Share is a non-profit that works with the Marine Discovery Center to provide education and awareness to improving the environment. Shuck & Share was a project that was created and developed through the UCF UX course curriculum where students were able to meet with real customers and apply real UX principles to the development of a usable web site that meets the customers and user’s needs. This non-profit organization recycles oysters and uses them to rebuild oyster beds in the rivers of Florida.

Nerd Brander

Nerd Brander

NerdBrander is a project that was created to help give back to the Orlando Tech Community through mentoring and self-branding. With the influence of Joshua “Tech Dev” Walker, NerdBrander was able to reach a wide audience of recent grads and startup gurus to come together and create an even stronger Orlando tech community.
