12/2 - The last set of presentations (4 groups) will be given on Tuesday December 7th beginning at 8:15 AM! I would appreciate it if someone from each group would email me a copy of your final presentation slides.

11/29 - Final Presentations Begin Tomorrow Morning - Groups 1, 2, and 3.

11/24 - Final Presentation Schedule is set. See links on the left for your groups day and time. Groups 1, 2, & 3 present Tuesday November 30th, Groups 4,5, and 6 present Thursday December 2nd, Groups 7, 8, 9, and 10 present Tuesday December 7th.

11/23 - Project Presentations Begin Next Tuesday!!! So far only three groups have requested to give their presentations on a specific day...if I do not receive any more specific requests by 1:00PM Wednesday November 24th, the remaining groups will present in numerical order (this means that groups 1, 2 and 3 would go on Tuesday November 30th, Groups 6, 5, and 4 on Thursday December 2nd, Groups 7, 8, 9, and 10 on Tuesday December 7th. Tomorrow is the last day to be able to select a specific date for your presentation. Each group will have 20 minutes in which to present their report. Attendance is required for the presentations.

11/22 - Final written project reports are due by noon on Wednesday December 8th. Email copies are fine, please use COP 4910 Final Report in the message header. You can also submit a hardcopy if you wish (not required).

11/4 - The updated group listing is posted along with the updated calendar. The Excel version contains 3 separate sheets for scheduling, there are 3 different pdf versions corresponding to the Excel page. Note that group presentations will begin on Tuesday November 30th at 9:00am. Group #1 has already volunteered to go first. Any group wishing to go early or on a specific day should let me know and I'll schedule on a FCFS basis. Please note that on both Tuesday Nov. 30th and Thursday Dec. 2nd there will be time for 3 presentations and on Tuesday Dec. 7th there will be 4 presentations. All other scheduling will be done in numerical group order.

10/26 - I have a few final papers from a previous semester. Unfortunately, I do not have a soft-copy of any, only hard copies. If you would like to take a look at them, please stop by my office at some point.

10/25 - I've set-up headers for each group in the WebCT bulletin board. If anyone comes across something that might be of interest to another group you can let them know about it through WebCT. I've also updated the group listings on the group page. If there are any errors, please let me know ASAP. Also, if no topic or contact email is listed...let me know what these should be ASAP. Keep working!!

10/12 -Class will meet on Tuesday October 19th at 9:30AM for very brief informal status reports from each group. (You don't need slides.) Each group will indicate the status of their work. Each group should probably prepare a time-line and responsibility chart. For those groups and individuals who have not yet defined group membership - please finalize this in the next couple of days and let me know. Also, don't forget that each group is to send an email contact...so far only a couple of you have done this.

9/29 - Class will meet tomorrow to hear the final two mini-presentations. Check the "Groups" heading to see the current make-up of groups for the final projects. Tomorrow we will discuss getting started with the final project. We also need to finalize groups.

9/19 - If any groups are looking for more members or any one not already in a group, please see the list at the bottom of the group page for those students who would like to be in a group but are not presently in a group. Please contact each other to set things up. Hope everyone is getting prepared for the brief topic talks which begin on Thursday.

9/14 - Mini-presentations begin Thursday September 23rd. For more details see (1) the "Mini-presentation Overview" heading, (2) the "Course Calendar" heading, and (3) the "Mini-Presentation Schedule" heading. Anyone who has not emailed me a mini-presentation topic by noon tomorrow (Wednesday September 15th) will be assigned a topic. Several groups have been identified and selected their topic. See the "Groups and Topics" heading on the left for more details. For those of you who are not in groups but would perhaps like to be, I am posting your names and email addresses at the bottom of the groups page. Contact each other regarding group formation. If you prefer to work alone, please let me know that as well.

9/9 - The list of potential research topics can be found under the "IT Areas for Investigation" heading to the left. By Monday afternoon (let's say 3pm) please email me two things: (1) The names of the members of your project group and a listing, in order of preference, of the top 3 areas that your group would like to investigate and (2) Your individual top 5 topics for the mini-presentation.
