Using the Bulk Import and Export Utilities
|
|
About the Control FileWhen you have customized Cloudview import or export settings, you can create a named control file to save these settings for future use. NOTE: The control file is a text file generated and updated by Cloudview. Do not manually edit this file. Locale and Codeset ParametersWhen using Cloudview, you can specify a locale and codeset in the Import/Export dialog. When using the export and import utilities from a command-line or program, use the DataCodeset and DataLocale control file parameters. These parameters are functionally equivalent to the locale and codeset fields in Cloudview. Use these parameters when transporting data between systems with different encodings and/or locales. NOTE: The default value for DataCodeset is UTF-8. The default for DataLocale is None. DataLocaleThe DataLocale parameter defines the locale-sensitive data representation style in the control file. This makes it possible for import/export to load/unload data in a specific locale. If the control file parameter DataLocale is not specified, standard SQL data representation is used. DataCodesetThe DataCodeset parameter specifies which native encoding should be used by import/export for input and output of data. |
