Final Exam : Take Home Portion
			Due: 4/26/02(Friday) by 10pm over email

Directions: Pick one of the two following essay questions to answer. Use
and cite appropriate sources to justify your ideas. Write no more than
1500 words. Note that you do need to put your own ideas into either
of these questions, not just restate the research you do. There is no
minimum word limit.

1) If you were to design a programming language attempting to maximize
flexibility (the ability to solve ALL types of problems), and to a lesser
extent speed, how would you design your language? (In your design, do NOT
be concerned about the difficulty of learning the language or the cost of
implementation.)

2) Why do imperative and recently, object oriented languages dominate the
software industry?
