I have obtained my Ph.D. degree from the Computer Science Department at the University of Central Florida, Orlando, Florida. My research focuses are Computer Vision and Multimedia Signal Processing. My recent work includes temporal video segmentation, spatiotemporal visual attention detection, semantic video linking, content-based image/video retrieval and surveillance video analysis.
From August 2001 to August 2006, I have been working in the UCF Computer Vision Laboratory under the supervision of Dr. Mubarak Shah. Since Sept. 2006, I have been working in a joint department of IBM Research and IBM GTS. My research team is the Exploratory Computer Vision Group at IBM.
