Research Assistant
Works on a project of Visual Monitoring of Highway-Rail Grade Crossing
funded by Florida Department of Transportation. It involves a real-time
computer vision system for the monitoring of the movement of
pedestrians, bikers, animals and vehicles at railroad intersections.

My research tops mainly focus on image based rendering, including
image/video objects completion, segmentation and transferring. In this
period of time I finished one project of human face detection and
identification for TRECVID 2004 and published 4 academic research
papers.

Research Assistant
Worked as the Main Programmer of the Virtual Forest Project, a National
Science Foundation Project. Developing a dynamic 3D rain forest
environment presenting 1000 years of the forest. I use OpenGL/GLUT to
make the forest environment. Some parts of the project are related with
MultiGen Vega. This project can be used for education or gaming
purpose.
