(Don't take this too seriously. Consider this as a form
of entertainment):
General:
- By not updating this website at all, I probably lost the only regular visitor I had (sorry, mom, I’ll update it more often).
- Seattle does rain more often! (this message is dedicated to and brought to you by our favorite buddy)
- It costs about $5000 to bail a person out of a felony coercion and an assault-2 charge.
- The winning % when I played with a 2-7 offsuit: 100%. The wining % when I played with a pair of A’s: 25%.
- The new motto for American Express cards: Accepted everywhere but here.
- I still don’t know why I went to a Cornell basketball game the other day . . .
Drinking:
- It’s just not interesting to drink after you turn 21 because you have already tried everything by the age of 18 (urrrrr, at least from what I’ve heard).
- Best drink: Tonic and gin.
The Gender War:
- In the latest issue of Maxim (of course, the authority in population statistics) listed 6 daily activities and how long the average person of each gender takes to do each one. I can post the results here, but then the activities were stuff like parallel parking and going to the bathroom, so I’ll just be wasting space.
Interview and Job Search:
- When your interviewer refuses to give you his/her business card, you did not get the job!
- Do not ever ask “so, what’re you doing right now?” in a phone interview by a woman.
- Way too many computer science and electricity engineering people are skipping their major and jumping into finance. For example, I talked to an EE-major, who is the president of the Investment Club here, about 3 months ago on what’s the best stock to buy, and he said WM. I have attached the performance of WM vs the Dow and NASDAQ over the last three month. Quite frankly, these guys should just stick to programming and circuits. Even my random stock pick (CAG, Mike can confirm my pick) had a comparable performance with the two indices.
- I have looked everywhere, and I still can’t find someone who would pay me to sleep and watch TV at home.
