History of the UCF Chapter

The UCF Chapter of UPE is the Delta Chapter of Florida. It was formed in the Spring of 1991 when Dr. Robert Roggio of National UPE chartered our chapter. The idea of a UCF chapter came out of the interest of computer science students at the time. The founding officers included Matt Lavoie, Robert Franceschini, Glenn Martin, Brian Ross, Jocelynn Watson, and Richard Duggan. Our founding faculty advisor was Dr. Ali Orooji.
