The review of clustering paper discussed in class today is due on next
class period. Please bring a hard copy of the review to the class and send
soft copy of it to both the instructor and TA.

Paper Review Turn in Instructions:

The files names should be in the format of either .pdf or .ps. The names
should be in the following format:
StudentLastName_StudentFirstName_LastNameofFirstAuthorofPaper.(pdf
or ps)
If
there are more than one paper with the same first author, then use LastNameofFirstAuthorofPaper1
and
so on...

The subject line of the email message should contain the attached file
itself.

The full bibliography information should be present at the beginning of
each paper review along with the reviewer name.

Currently, we are in the process of getting a class account where all the
sofy reviews should be turned in instead of sending to both instructor
and TA. The account should be available and will be posted by coming Monday.
In the mean time, please continue to send your soft copies to both instructor
and TA.

I will have extra office hours on January 30th, between 4pm and 6pm in
my office for those students who may wish to discuss their class projects.
If you have any ideas, feel free to bring me a one-page write-up about
your project ideas.

Three new sensor networks papers have been placed in the paper schedule
page. One of these papers need to be reviewed by 02/03/03 (next Monday).
Please continue to send the paper reviews to the class account (eel5937@bruce.engr.ucf.edu).
You are still encouraged to read the other ones which do not require a
formal review.

February 24, 2003. The papers are on the MAC protocols of ad hoc and sensor
networks and available from the web site.

The midterm exam will be given during next class period, March 4, 2003
at 10am.

The project proposals (2-3 pages) are due on March 7, 2003 at noon. Please
send the soft copies to the class account (eel5937@bruce.engr.ucf.edu)
and leave the hard copies in my mailbox.

The intial project presentations will be given by the class on March 11,
2003. Please send the soft copies of the slides to the class account (eel5937@bruce.engr.ucf.edu)
and leave the hard copies in my mailbox by March 10, 2003.

The lecture slides from the last class has been updated in the website.

Each project group will be given 10 minutes along with 5 minutes of Questions
and Answer session. Please prepare your slides accordingly and bring a
hard copy of the slides to hand in to the instructor.
Tuesday, March 25, 2003:

There will be additional office hours on March 26, 2003 between 2pm and
4pm to discuss the progress of the class projects and you may also see
your midterm exam grades.

There will be scheduled meetings (10-15 mins per team) for each team during
next week's class (10am-1:30pm). The schedule for each team will be posted
shorty.

Please send your preference for the final project presentation by next
class period. The order will be on first come first serve basis.
