Teams are required to email their top three team project preferences to both
the instructor and the TA by September September 28th.

Each student is required to email their top three research papers preferences
to both the instructor and the TA by September September 28th.
Tuesday, September 28, 2004:

Note that both project assignments and research paper topics are posted
in the appropriate pages.

For those of you who have alreay submitted request for research topic,
but have not seen your name in the page, this means that all top three
of your choices were chosen by other students. In this case, please let
me know from which other available topics you would like to choose from
ASAP. Once again, please make the order in which you prefer among these
available topics. If I do not hear from those students by the next
class period, I will assign the topics. The same rule applies to those
who have not made any selection as of yet.
Thursday, October 7, 2004:

The project presentations will be given next week. Teams 1-3 will be
presenting on Tuesday, October 12th and the rest of the teams will be
presenting on Thursday, October 14th.

All the presentations are expected to be prepared in power point.
The presentations should be 20 minutes with 5 minutes Q & A session.
The number of presentation slides are upto the presenter. A hard copy
of the presentation (with handout format) should be handed in to the
instructor prior to the presentation. The presentation should summarize
the main points of the deliverables turned in. The presentation should
conclude with a slide containing the difficulties and lessons learned
for the current phase.

You can present research paper(s) depending on your findings. All the
presentations are expected to be prepared in power point. The presentations
should be 20 minutes including 5 minutes Q & A session. The number of
presentation slides are upto the presenter. A hard copy of the presentation
(with handout format) and the paper should be handed in to the instructor
prior to the presentation. I also would like to see a slide or two talking
about your opinion about the paper-- basically, your critical review. You
can mention the advantages and disadvantages of the ideas/methodologies
presented according to your understanding.
