Class project teams are required to email their team members (including the
full names and current email addresses) by January 15th.

Five or six students are required to participate in each project teams.

The class projects will be posted by January 15th.

Class project teams are required to email their top three choices for
the class project to the instructor by January 19th.

Each team will be assigned class project by January 22nd.

The first UML homework is posted and due on March 26th.
Wednesday, March 7, 2007:

The individual research team presentation dates are assigned to
the teams in the research papers page.

On the day of the presentation, each research teams is required to turn in the
handout of the presentation slides and paper(s) to be presented (hard copy for
both, no soft copy is required).
Wednesday, March 21, 2007:

The second UML homework is posted and due on April 11th.

The research paper presentations will start on April 2nd. Please refer to the
research paper page for the schedule of each presentation.
Here is the summary of what is expected from the research paper
presentations:

The cover slide including the paper title, authors, publication date,
where it is published and your name.

The outline of the presentation which should include your section and/or subsection
headers.

The number slides are upto each presenter.

Each presenter will have 15 minutes (10-12 minutes presentation and 3-5 minutes Q&A session).

The presenters need to provide the hard copy of
the presentation slides (preferably handout format) and the paper(s) being
presented to the instructor at the beginning of the class.
Here is the summary of what is expected from the research paper
reports:

Each researh paper team is required to submit a joint report.

The report should have three sections: (i) summary of the paper on your
own words; (ii) the advantages and disadvantages of the methodology,
presentation of the material, etc.; (iii) how to overcome the disadvantages that
you have outlined in the previous section.

There is no specific template or page limit on the report.
-
The last day to turn in the research report (hard copy) is on the last day of
the class; however, it is recommended to turn them on the day of presentation.
