Saad M. Khan

I work at ETS where I am establishing research in computer vision, cognitive computing and multimodal analytics for new forms of learning and educational assessment tools. In addition I lead business capture and proposal development efforts and serve as PI on various research programs (both IRAD and CRAD). My technical background is in computer vision and machine learning and my research interests include cognitive computing, deep learning, behavioral analytics, affective computing and multimodal data fusion.

Prior to joining ETS, I was at SRI International where I served as PI/co-PI for multi-year projects involving multiple teams and led business capture efforts with the DoD. My research focused on the design and development of autonomous interactive training systems, machine learning algorithms for target tracking, object recognition, 3D reconstruction, event/activity modeling and recognition among others.

I received a Ph.D. in computer science from the Center for Research in Computer Vision at University of Central Florida in 2008. Some of my graduate research work is listed here.
