Primarily, I conduct research with an emphasis on Social Media Analytic, Deep Learning, and Natural Language Processing. The ongoing project centers around misinformation detection on social media.

During Spring 2015 - Fall 2016, I was one of the full-stack developers of NASA-funded research project, implementing a multimedia communication platform that supports synchronized sharing and manipulation multimedia objects for the launch team.

Implementing in C++ the FPGA pairing policy to estimate the number of random coincidences generated from Positron emission tomography (PET) scanner, and simulating synthetic data from GATE software then performing an analysis to ensure that the configurations of scanner yield the expected outcome that is correlating with the principle in physics.

  • Attention Based Neural Architecture for Rumor Detection with Author Context Awareness

    In this research, we propose an ensemble neural architecture to detect rumor on Twitter. The architecture incorporates word attention and context from the author to enhance the classification performance. The experiment on the real-world Twitter dataset demonstrates promising results.

  • Toward Extractive Summarization of Online Forum Discussions via Hierarchical Attention Networks

    In this work we make the first attempt to adapt the hierarchical attention networks for thread summarization. The model draws on the recent development of neural attention mechanisms to build sentence and thread representations and use them for summarization.
