I regret the fact that in a ranked system, some people with a C are only a few hundredths of a point away from others with a B, and likewise B to A. However, there is a Digital Media mandate to produce reasonable grade distributions. These grades are distributed as follows:

top 20%: A

next 30%: B

next 30%: C if the score is above 59.5%, F otherwise

remainders, including dropouts: F
