1/10 - First Day of Class

A majority of the class period was spent discussing the "goals" of the
class and how the class will be run. Most of this information is included
in the handout given in class.

For the last 10 minutes of class, we discussed the new Fox show
Temptation Island. Here are some of the questions posed:

Is it morally "okay" to produce such a show?
Do TV producers have some sort of responsibility to make sure their shows
do not affect the public in a negative way?
People can consent to be on such a show, but just because people consent,
does that make it morally right.
Will this show change people's conception of relationships?
