Two years ago our school began the work in Internet. The access to the Internet is sponsored by the New-York University. We use telecommunication's facilities daily. In March 1995 we took part in the International Conference "Internet in Education" in Minsk.

This year our students participate in the invironmental project sponsored by United States Information Agency. It is a joint mutual project between Florida schools and schools from Newly Independent State which has a research and analysis components where telecommunication is a vehicle for exchanging ideas.

OUR TEACHERS

School-gimnazia N30 employs 250 teachers. Some of major subjects and elective courses are conducted by 48 college professors from the Grodno University and the Grodno medical college. We want our pupils to benefit as much as they can from the knowledge and experience of their teachers. Every form has a form mistress.

The foreign languages faculty comprises 32 teachers,the culture faculty - 56,that of physical training - 30 (including the medical specialists). Teachers and students are assisted by an educational methods instructor,an audiovisual aids engineer, a psychologist,a students' club coordinator.

ADMINISTRATION

All the school activities are directed by the Headmaster (Headmistress) who has 8 deputies:

- the scientific research and teaching methods assistant;
- the culture and ethics assistant;
- the physical training assistant;
- the foreign languages assistant;
- the directors of studies (seniors and juniors);
- the extracurricular activities director;
- the supply manager. Both the Headmaster and his deputies are accountable to the Trusteeship Council in which teachers,parents and students are represented

CONTACTS AND COOPERATION

School-gimnazia N30 has agreements with the Grodno State University and the Grodno Medical College on cooperation in organization of the training process.School teachers and college professors work jointly elabourating new syllabi, instruction programs, manuals and textbooks for curricular, specialized academic and vocational courses.

OUR PERSPECTIVES

We are heading to creating of a new type educational institution,that could bring up national intellectual elite. Our second important concern is to establish a permanent research laboratory dealing with methods of teaching.
