The only known specimen of Lorraine-osaurus.

Nobody knows what color dinos were, so why not make 'em pretty?

In academic 1995-96, a multimedia curriculum built around the ExploreNet system is being developed at Maitland Middle School (Maitland, Florida) and will soon be tested and improved at Coral Springs Middle School (Coral Springs, Florida.) Students are constructing their own multi-player interactive adventure games in the land of dinosaurs. The lessons are evolving day by day.

The overall plan of the experiment is available for inspection.

The following lessons have been field tested and are now being revised.

Lesson 0: Getting Ready (student notes)       (teacher notes)

Lesson 1: Building and Modifying Scenes       (teacher notes)

Lesson 2: Passing Objects from the Web into Scenes

Lesson 3: Tribes of Dinosaurs (Customizing your Characters)

Lesson 4: Dinosaur Eggs and other Props

Lesson 5: Bushes, Boulders: Adding Foreground Props

In addition to the lesson plans, you can also read our Experience Reports on the lessons as they grow.

The dinosaur images in these lessons are based on originals drawn by Anne Richardson, a student at the University of Central Florida.
