The iUX Academy offers a range of services intended to help you better understand your customers’ and end-users’ needs, motivations, and pain points. A better understanding of your user will ensure your product is providing unique value to your users and solving problems that other products do not. User research is important at all stages of a product’s life cycle, but is critically important during the early stages of developing a new product.
We also offer evaluation services that do not require recruitment of end-users. Our team can evaluate your product and designs according to industry, design, and usability standards to help you establish what your product is doing well and where it could use work. Evaluation of your product according to these standards can be beneficial at any stage of your product’s development life cycle.
Testing your product and designs with current (and potential) end-users is an essential mechanism by which you can identify areas where your product could be improved. User testing can also help you to benchmark your product against your competitors. We work with our clients to identify which method of user testing is the best fit for their specific needs.
We strongly believe that the success of a product depends on the company’s understanding of the end-users the product is intended for. Important things to know about end-users include their:
- Motivations – What drives our users to want to use a particular product? What are they hoping to accomplish?
- Pain points – What frustrates our users using our product or other similar products? How can our product solve these issues?
- Context of use – Where, when, and how will end-users use our product?
User research is essential to building this understanding and ensuring it is not based on assumptions about users.
