Peraton
CURRENT:
The iUX Academy helped Peraton Corp. (a leading provider of satellite and terrerestrial communication, network optimization, and managed security services) develop their new Search and Filter User Interface. Specifically, the iUX Academy conducted expert evaluations (heuristic evaluations and cognitive walkthroughs) and performed user testing to identify usability issues that could be problematic for users of the OS/COMET®. This system serves as a UI for Space Vehicle (SV) operations.

Project Goals:
- Ensure Peraton’s Search and Filter UI was usable by Peraton employees and personnel responsible for SV operations
- Utilize a combination of expert evaluation techniques (heuristic evaluations, cognitive walkthroughs) and user testing to identify the most critical usability issues
- Provide design recommendations
Outcome:
Our evaluations and user testing identified several areas where changes could be made developed to improve the Search and Filter User Interface. Reports detailing our findings and recommendations were shared with the client. With these recommendations, the client was able to create a new Search and Filter UI for finding relevant data and notifications for SV operations.
