The goal of this program is to exchange the course material and experience gathered in our EIA project with other universities across the nation. Visiting faculty invited by this program join UCF during all or part of the summer semester and actively work with the UCF team in the various activities of the project. Stipend for the visiting faculty as well as the cost of airline tickets and hotel are covered by the EIA project.

During their stay at UCF, the visiting faculty participate in the ongoing instructional development effort as well as in the assessment and evaluation activities.  In the first phase of their visit, the guest faculty receive an overview of the major activities of the project and the modules that have been developed.   In addition, each of the UCF PI’s meet on one-to-one basis with the visiting faculty to present their recent research results, discuss areas of further research and go over some of the recent publications. As part of their activities at UCF, the visiting faculty also attend the one-week Summer Faculty Enhancement Workshop if it is offered in the year they are visiting. 

The Visiting Faculty Program is expected to be mutually beneficial to both UCF and the collaborating schools. On one hand, the visiting faculty will provide their feedback and suggestions for improving the developed modules. On the other hand, the visiting faculty can utilize the instructional modules in their academic programs either as new courses or by threading them through some of the existing courses in their schools.
