The Computer Science Program also supports a number of Florida resident graduate students through the Florida Graduate Assistantship Program. Awardees must be Florida residents pursuing the thesis option Masters degree in Computer Science, full-time, and are expected to serve as teaching assistants in Computer Science. These awards currently provide a stipend of $12,000 per calendar year, plus full waiver of tuition/fees.

Application Deadlines:
Fall - March 1
Spring - December 1
Summer - April 15

Research Interests:
If awarded this assistantship you will be required to write a thesis - for areas of research interest look under our faculty section at www.cs.ucf.edu

Required Documents for Consideration:

  • GPA: 3.0
  • GRE: 1100 (combined of verbal and analytical)
  • A letter of intent, also known as statement of purpose
  • 3 letters of recommendation
  • Gold application (see Sonja in CSB201H)

    Procedural Steps:

  • Prepare and submit all required documents for admission to the graduate program to Graduate Admissions (AD-230)
  • Once Admission is granted see Graduate Secretary Jenny Shen for assistanship application
