Course Information:
Textbook for the course: Discrete and Combinatorial Mathematics,
Ralph P. Grimaldi
The recitation sections (COT 3100L) will be used to provide assistance with
homework assignments, further explanation of lecture topics
and give and review practice problems.
Grading:
There will be a total of 500 points, distributed as follows:
First exam (75 points) |

Pop quizzes (50 points total) |

6 assignments (25 points each) |

Grading Conditions:
- Assignments will be turned in at lecture. In order to turn in an
assignment late, you need to get permission from the instructor. A TA
can not allow you to turn an assignment in late.
- Pop quizzes will occasionally be given in lecture. These can not be
made up. Your lowest pop quiz grade will be dropped.
- The instructor reserves the right to change the grading policy at any
time, but will not make the requirements more stringent than those
stated here.
- Plus/minus grades will be awarded for the course, if deemed
appropriate by the instructor.
All assignments, quizzes and programs are to be your own work.
No group projects or assignments are allowed.
