Test #2 (final exam) is scheduled for the final exams week of Tuesday, April 24 through 8 pm on Monday, April 30, available on WebCT. The test consists of 20 true/false questions and 20 multiple choice questions. You are limited to taking the test once within 150 minutes. Test topics are taken from those covered after Test #1, mainly those in homework assignments 3, 4, and 5. Test #1 is scheduled for the week of Feb. 26 (Monday) through March 2 (Friday). The test will cover materials from Assignments 1 and 2, and Notes Topics 1 through 5.2, where for Topic 3.2 only up to page 59 (out of 80). In particular, be sure you understand modular arithmetic (e.g., see Notes Topic 3.1, or materials at the link http://www.antilles.k12.vi.us/math/cryptotut/mod_arithmetic.htm). The test is available on WebCT from 2 pm, February 26 until 6 pm on March 2. There are 10 true/false questions and 10 multiple-choice questions. You will have 75 minutes to complete the test.
