CGS 3175 Notes on Your Navigation Page

Your navigation page is the basic tool by which you will allow visitors to move around on your web site. This makes it very important because your web site cannot be graded unless the grader can see your entire web site. Also, your lab instructor cannot look at any web pages giving you trouble when you email them asking for help unless your navigation page allows it.

You may name your navigation page whatever you wish, but I strongly recommend cgs3175navigation.html. Again, this helps anyone who needs to look at your navigation page to grade it or help you out with problems.

You may choose to provide an alternate method of navigation and may not need a navigation page. Thats fine as long as the method you provide is clear, consistent, and allows access to all portions of your site.

Make sure your navigation works in Netscape and in MS IE.

By the end of the semester, your navigation page (or alternate method of navigation) must provide a direct link to the following other pages:

Your navigation page should not include links to external web sites. These should be placed on your links page.
