Grading:

The final letter grade will be based upon the four items listed below:
Assignments 20%
Midterm I 20%
Midterm II 20%
Final exam 20%
Group Project 10%
Attendance and Participation 10%

 

Assignments:

Assignments will be turned in at the beginning of the class on the due date. There will be 10 assignments. Assignments will be introduced in class and then posted at the WebCourse. Due date/time will be specified. If you don't submit an assignment by the due date/time, you have an additional 24 hours to submit with a 10% late-penalty reduction. You must submit your assignment (in whatever condition) at that point. You'll get no credit if you don't submit the assignment. After 24 hours, no submissions will be accepted. You may discuss the assignments in general terms, but the solution you give must be your own. You are encouraged to discuss ideas, approaches, concepts, etc., in English, but you may not show or give your assignment solution to anyone except the instructor.
